The lineup for this year’s Sloss Music and Arts Festival has been announced. In a video shared online on Tuesday morning, Red Mountain Entertainment revealed 31 artists who would be performing at the two-day festival, which is slated to take place on July 16 and 17.
SlossFest 2016 will be headlined by singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, who is currently touring behind his self-titled 2014 studio album, as well as last year’s 1989, a full-length reimagining of Taylor Swift’s album of the same name.
Other headliners include indie rock stalwarts Death Cab for Cutie, psychedelic festival mainstays The Flaming Lips and folk singer Ray Lamontagne (who will be joined onstage by members of My Morning Jacket, sans frontman Jim James).
The festival will feature performances by Anderson East, Grouplove, Glass Animals, JR JR (formerly known as Dale Earnhart Jr. Jr.), Anderson East, Sylvan Esso, Dylan LeBlanc and Washed Out. The Arcs, a side project of Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, will also perform, as will acclaimed indie rapper Danny Brown and Kanye West collaborator and TNGHT member Hudson Mohawke. Birmingham band The Burning Peppermints, who recently opened for St. Paul and the Broken Bones during a sold-out show at Saturn, tie the lineup back to the Magic City.
