Two jurors from the first bingo public corruption trial told the Montgomery Advertiser that evidence kept from them by prosecutors might have lead to an acquittal of defendant Ray Crosby if they had been allowed to hear it.

An investigation by state prosecutors has subpoenaed records from Alabama Department of Agriculture and seem to focus on former Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks, the Birmingham News reported Sunday.

The subpoenas were signed by Public Corruption Special Prosecutor Miles Hart. A former Assistant United States Attorney, Hart was involved in numerous public corruption investigations and prosecutions in the Northern District of Alabama.
