Without an major infusion of cash from the state or a settlement with stakeholders, Alabama’s Prepaid Affordable College Tuition program will run out of money within three years, Alabama Treasurer Young Boozer tells the Birmingham News. Last week the Alabama Supreme Court rejected a settlement that would have capped payouts at 2010 levels, leaving parents to cover the difference in college costs.
