Congressman Spencer Bachus (R-Alabama).

A poll conducted for an anti-incumbency super-PAC shows Spencer Bachus leading Scott Beason 63 percent to 17 percent, the National Journal reports. However, when asked about Bachus’ close ties to Wall Street and accusations of insider trading, Bachus’ support quickly fell to 44 percent. The poll was conducted before the Washington Post revealed that the Office of Congressional Ethics is investigating the incumbent congressman. The Campaign for Primary Accountability super-PAC typically supports challengers in districts with weak general election opposition.
