Politics makes strange bedfellows indeed. Last week, three black Alabama lawmakers — Representatives John Rogers, Mary Moore and Juandalynn Givan — signed a letter defending state Sen. Scott Beason, saying he was not a racist. Curiously, last summer Moore and Givan took part in a press conference calling for Beason to resign after comments he recorded while working with federal prosecutors were made public in court. Moore can be seen in the video above criticizing Beason.
