The accused rapist who taunted the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department on Facebook has been captured by United States Marshals in Ohio.

The accused rapist who taunted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department on Facebook has been captured by United States Marshals in Ohio, according to the sheriff’s department official who manages the department’s Facebook page.

Dustin McCombs

“The person featured in the Creep of the Week album this week, Dustin McCombs, was captured in Ohio today by the U. S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. He will be returned to Alabama to face the charges against him. He remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” a Sergean Jack Self said on Facebook Friday afternoon.

After the department featured McCombs in its “Creep of the Week” on its Facebook page, McCombs began communicating with the sheriff’s department via Facebook despite being advised not to by the department. His back-and-forth with the sheriff’s department caught media attention, including posts on Gizmodo.
