Weld invites readers to join the Over the Mountain Democrats at the Homewood Library Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a night of political prognostication, banter, projections and more from a distinguished panel of speakers that includes Weld publisher Mark Kelly and Birmingham News writers John Archibald and Chuck Dean. More from the OTMDems website:
Tuesday night, January 17th, join us at the Homewood Library Auditorium for some insight and predictions about local & state politics from prominent area media figures Mark Kelly from WELD magazine, and John Archibald and Charles Dean from the NEWS.
We’ll start at 5:30 (earlier than usual) with a brief ‘business meeting’ to get the New Year off the ground with some necessary organizational housekeeping and announcements. Then, promptly at 6 PM, we’ll convene our panel of experts and learn what our media triumvirate, sharp observers of the local political scene, can tell us about what they see ahead for 2012. The media panel is open to the public, so please encourage your friends to come, exchange ideas, and meet some other Democrats and progressives.
