As we begin a new year, we are excited to share with you — our readers, supporters and partners — a new Weld logo. The revised logo captures the mission of Weld and we believe it will represent us well as we continue to grow.
We’ve worked hard to integrate Weld into your daily routines. We understand the importance of a strong, journalistic voice in any community and we have made that the core of our mission since Weld‘s inception. Even though our look is changing, we are still the same company, focused on covering news, views, arts and culture for the entire greater Birmingham region.
We felt it was important to maintain the logo’s original integrity, so the re-design utilizes the original font; while eliminating the external shape around the name. By taking the boundaries away from the name, we express exactly what we do — Weld for Birmingham — all of Birmingham.
